“I can understand why wandering sometimes feels unsettling. We’re taught to look for direction, for clarity, for a destination we’re meant to arrive at. For a long time, I thought drifting or changing directions meant I was lost or doing something wrong? But the occasions where I stopped demanding answers from myself, I found compassion instead, and this sense of trust that I’ll be okay no matter how things unfold. I’ve learned that I actually enjoy being shaped by the path that slowly reveals itself, moment by moment. I don’t think I actually want a final version of myself, or be so sure of a future I’m supposed to fit into. This journey itself has been so enriching.. the openness of it feels true that maybe I don’t need to arrive just yet.”
